Tottenham Hotspur supporters who booed goalkeeper Vicario were informed later "they can't be true Tottenham supporters" by boss Thomas Frank.

Tottenham conceded two goals in the first initial moments to lose 2-1 to Fulham, registering their tenth top-flight home loss of the year.

However the primary talking point was the visitors' next score when Vicario gave away possession far outside his box.

He came out to handle a high pass and carried the ball towards the touchline.

But, instead of kicking it out of play, the Italy international turned and tried to clear away, but lost his footing as the ball glanced off Harry Wilson and was controlled by Josh King.

King laid the ball off to Wales midfielder Wilson, who bent a shot into the net from the touchline measured at thirty-six point six metres.

Moments afterwards when the ball came to Vicario once more, some Tottenham fans booed him.

The team were booed off at half-time, with the club 2-0 down, and once more at the final whistle.

A particular of those jeering sessions really angered the manager.

"I heard a few of our fans reportedly booed the incident and jeered following, which, in my view is completely unjustifiable," the Danish manager stated about the supporters' reaction to his goalkeeper.

"Those individuals cannot be true Tottenham supporters that act that way. Fair enough booing following the match, fine, but when we are playing, we are supporting each other, we are behind each other going forward."

Tete had handed the visitors a early lead prior to Harry Wilson's goal – with Kudus netting for Spurs in an better second-half performance.

Former Premier League goalkeeper Hart stated that the second score was "totally avoidable".

"I certainly appreciate the fans' disappointment," Hart continued. "I am aware the role the keeper is playing. He is a great squad member, he's a true leader in the dressing room but ultimately you are going to be judged by your actions.

"He was heavily involved in what ended up to be the decisive goal."

"That goal was a mistake of mine, I accept responsibility for it," he commented.

"I am mature, what can I say?" he added. "We can't be influenced by the situation in the crowd. The fans have the right to do what they think.

Although Vicario's mistake dominated headlines, this was an all-round bad day for Tottenham to continue their home struggles.

The match was their 10th at home loss of 2025 in the Premier League, a joint club record matching nineteen ninety-four and two thousand and three.

The side still have home games against Frank's old side Brentford and champions the Reds to play prior to the close of the season.

Only one of those victories have come after Frank replaced his predecessor in the summer.

"If you are behind 2-0 following the opening, there is a huge challenge to climb," stated Frank.
