Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
